We are going on a penguin hunt

Do you want to come snowflake "Yes I do"

We're going on a penguin hunt I'm not scared

Oh no a plane

We can't go around it

We can't go over it

We have to go in it

Zoooom take off

Look down

I see Tiny house We have landed

Oh no slippy Ice We can go over it

You can Go Around it

We have to slide on it

Slide slide slide

Oh no an Iglu

We can go over it

We can't go around it

We have to go inside it

Quite quite quite

A penguin

We have found a penguin wow this is cool

He is white

He is black

He is orange

There is 2 of them

Let's spend some time with them

Today we were coding with Maunga Iti.

Science Fair 2019

We have been working on lots of different Science Experiments this term.
From making a volcano and sherbet to show a chemical reaction to exploring force and motion.
Here are a few photos of what we have done.

Auckland

Every second year the lucky kids in Year 1 and 2 get to go to Auckland. This year we left school on two buses and we went to Kelly Tarltons where we looked at the fish. Then we went to the Auckland Zoo and had a look round and ate dinner. In the morning we went back to the zoo and then we went to MOTAT.

Science in Action

 This term we have been learning about science and how to write Scientific Reports. Our first experiment looked at how milk and food colouring reacted by adding a drop or two of dish liquid. 

 

Fun things about our school

We are very lucky to have a school like ours. We are very unique and our school grounds are special because they allow us to be so creative. There is a hut, a forest, sand-pits and playgrounds.
Some of the amazing things we do in our school are Garden to Table, Greats and Grands Day, Wacky Wednesdays, Pet Days, Toys Days, Wheels Days, and we get to go on super-duper class trips to places like the zoo, Kelly Tarlton's, beaches and on ski trips. Ohaeawai school has the best library in the world!
We have very supportive whanau who help us out with lots of things.
