We are a year 2 and 3 class in Ohaeawai, Northland, New Zealand. Our class is room 5 & 6 and our wonderful teachers are Mrs Ritchie and Miss Stewart. We have 39 kids in our class and we love to learn, write, read, play and do art.

Max and his place value video
Max using playing cards to show his understanding of place value.
Ka pai Max, you are getting a good understanding of tens and ones by using the playing cards with Dad. You will need to take the 10 card out when doing this as it makes it tricky, then you need to learn about hundreds. Thanks for sharing.
What a cool use of cards Max and Dad. This is a great way to practice place value. Before you know it you will be into the hundreds and thousands. I challenge other families to try this game.
