On Wednesday 1 July the whole school celebrated Matariki. Each of the teachers had activities for the students. Here are a couple of the creations; a Marae recreation complete with maunga, awa, whare, waka, tangata, marama and kiwi. Below are Maori masks where a lot of the children cleverly made up their own designs.. We all had fun creating and mixing with different students/teachers. Following was a feast of sausages and iceblocks. Happy Matariki everyone!
Kia ora Maunga Nui. I can see you have been very busy learning about Matariki. I love how creative you have been making your masks and the marae recreation. What was your favourite part of this learning? Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb
ReplyDeleteSome of the students liked drawing the mask. Violet liked building the whare. Thanks Deb for looking at our blog and liking what we have created.
I Love the way you did your Matariki creation. Max.
